About: Sahar El-Nadi
Sahar El-Nadi is a writer and international public speaker from Cairo, Egypt. She wrote for several international print and online publications in Arabic and English and her articles were translated into European and Asian languages. She traveled to more than 30 countries around the world to speak and deliver lectures and workshops on leadership, change, creativity, communication and cross-cultures. She received standing ovations for her speeches at high profile events in such prestigious places as Harvard University and the Swedish Royal Palace. Sahar El-Nadi is an Egyptian and a born Muslim, yet she went to a Catholic missionary school in Egypt, then to an Islamic school in Saudi Arabia, while living in an American environment and socializing in a multinational gated-community. She was a TV host and the lifestyle editor of Egypt’s top fashion magazine, but she left behind her successful career to reconnect with her soul. She reinvented herself while searching for spirituality, and she began writing extensively and traveling the world to speak at high profile events in places like Harvard and the Swedish Royal Palace. In reaction to a potential global inter-faith clash, she created an award-winning project promoting tolerance and respect for diversity, and she joined the Egyptian revolution in its early days to demand freedom and democracy, all while wearing a headscarf. Sahar took part in the Egyptian revolution in 2011 and documented her observations in original photographs and videos she shares in her talks to draw global lessons from the monumental events of the Arab Spring. She is also creator and director of an award-winning project called “Don’t Hate, Educate” promoting tolerance, respect for diversity and creatively connecting people across divides of race, color and creed. She is very active online since 1996, when she co-created the first Arab online community with her brother. Sahar was featured in international media and on magazine covers as a global role model of women leadership. www.SaharElNadi.com https://www.facebook.com/Elnadi.Sahar
